The Talks
Matt quite literally tried his best in life to create a career where he would NEVER have to speak in public… but the bees had something else in mind. Six years ago, when Matt went from being a private commission mural painter to a mission-driven activist trying to ignite radical change, speaking simply became an unavoidable part of the work. Creating art that reaches every age and level of education means utilizing every potential for clear communication. At this point Matt has spoken at the United Nations, Smithsonian, the FAO at the United Nations, Tedx, MIT, Duke University, Georgetown University, Burt’s Bees, Auburn University, and countless other schools and locations. Funnily enough, he is starting to enjoy it. To inquire about booking Matt as a speaker, click here.
Tedx Tullahoma
Creating this talk was a pivot point for Matt and The Good of the Hive that is still unfolding. By sitting down to create the Tedx Tullahoma Talk, Matt was able to slow down and process the evolution of The Good of the Hive. What started with one honey bee had moved into an entire hive concept and the story of all pollinators. But during this time Matt realized the deeper story the bees were sharing with him is about the connectedness of all things. There is no business plan for how this piece of art is unfolding. It is meant to serve as an anchor and lightning rod to explore our collective challenges with the planet. This means Matt must be open to learn and change in the process. Writing this talk showed him that in order for the collective to change, we must first change ourselves.

20 slides, 20 seconds of time to talk about each slide. No small feat.
